Proximity to food
Nootropics are best taken in a specific proximity to food. You want to make sure that, in the case of The Cortex Nootropic (Gen1), and others, that you take the nootropic 40 or so minutes after you eat. This is extremely important! You want to actually know if the nootropic is working or not. You want to confirm or deny its benefits, and it’ll be hard to do that if food is messing with you capacity to digest/get the best effects from your nootropic.
I wish I had the scientific explanation for this, but fortunately, I have a ton of anecdotal evidence both from myself, and other samplers of Cortex Gen 1, and other nootropic users.
Make Sure Food is Digested!Â
You want to make sure that your food is digested, or the process has started, before you take the nootropic. 40 minutes after your last bite could work well BECA– — USE the stomach has already started secreting stomach acid to digest the food, has begun that process, and is primed to quickly send nutrients to the brain through the blood stream pretty quickly.
This Doesn’t Always Apply
The tricky part is, nutrients can be water or fat soluble, leaving the other better option to take the nutrients with food. Now – in some of these situations, the proximity to food (as we’re talking about here) throws off the efficacy of the stack. What one nootropic user needs to do is identify what is water/fat soluble VS not, while taking nootropics. It is said, for example, that water soluble nootropics work better on an empty stomach, or when not directly eating food, because the body can start absorbing and working with them right away.
The fat soluble nutrients, are said to better with food, and fat.
