The basic idea here is that you can modify the tolerance you have for Caffeine, so that you can get a substantial stimulant response from it, even after you’ve developed a significant tolerance to it.
Caffeine does come with a tolerance. If you drink it in high quantities, which may be defined as between 150-300MG per day, regularly, the primarily stimulatory aspects of Caffeine will become a bit dulled. And if you’re someone who needs to be particularly productive, this can become a problem.
But there are strategies to combat Caffeine tolerance, and most of them, short of giving up Caffeine for a week or so and then cycling back on, have to do with bringing in additional nootropic compounds to amplify the effects of Caffeine, or work on the same neurotransmitter systems Caffeine does, to actually modulate the tolerance mechanism.
There’s one particular strategy, that involves taking the nootropic compound Uridine monophosphate, a powerful verbal fluency/motivation/stimulation chemical, one that is the primary functional base of the Cortex nootropic stack, 10 minutes before you consume your coffee.
But first, let’s break down a few other strategies to keep in the arsenal:
Adding 50MG of Theacrine, with your Caffeine dose. Theacrine is a similarly stimulatory compound, that works on the same neurotransmitter receptors as Caffeine.
Adding 50MG of Theobromine with your Caffeine dose. Similar to Theacrine, Theobromine is a stimulant, and amplifies the effects of Caffeine.
Taking 700-1000MG of Oxiracetam with your Caffeine dose. Oxiracetam is a racetam nootropic compound, that modifies the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine, and produces a focus and brain fluidity like effect.
Taking 500-700MG of Aniracetam with your Caffeine dose. Like Oxiracetam, Aniracetam is a popular racetam nootropic compound that enhances cholinergic and AMPA signaling in the brain.
But the strategy we employ in the video below, is a bit different, in that we’re bringing in Uridine monophosphate, to interact with the same receptors that Caffeine works on, to amplify the stimulatory effects of Caffeine.
And it works. This paper here, explains a basis for the interaction of Uridine with adenosine receptors, giving a possible explanation for how Uridine can modify tolerance to Caffeine, and amplify the effects.
The anecdotal information
Anecdotal information does exist for this strategy. For one, the creator of a long, 94 page thread on Longecity.org, discusses this exact phenomenon, citing the paper I linked to above.
But, as you’ll read in that thread, and consistent with my own personal anecdotal experience, Uridine definitely amplifies the effects of Caffeine, and in particular, seems to make Caffeine tolerance lessen.
The exact Uridine strategy to reduce Caffeine tolerance
The strategy, which we lay out in the video below, is to take 50-150MG of Uridine monophosphate, 10 minutes before you Caffeine intake.
