Ep 52: You’re dosing CDP and AGPC wrong

In this podcast we’ll dive deep into the biologically available precursors to acetylcholine. We’ll discuss mainly CDP Choline and Alpha GPC, and make the point that the nootropics community, and the collective nootropics social web, advises way high doses on both of them. Primary points of the podcast:

  1. A nootropics subreddit post prompted this discussion, where a user took 1500MG Aniracetam, 250MG CDP Choline. User experienced brain fog and memory issues indicating excessive cholinergic functioning.
  2. User took dose of Aniracetam down to 800MG, and dose of CDP down to 150MG and immediately had better results. The stack worked well for him.
  3. CDP choline has a very long half-life (60 or so hours).
  4. Optimal CDP Choline dose range WITH and WITHOUT racetams.
  5. Aniracetam and Oxiracetam’s capacity to use extra acetylcholine, by forcing release of acetylcholine in the hippocampus.
  6. Optimal Alpha GPC dose range WITH and WITHOUT racetams.
  7. Breaking down the Cortex nootropic stack’s CDP Choline dose, to demonstrate the point of lower dosing CDP and AGPC.
  8. Advice on the necessity to be conservative with CDP and AGPC.
  9. Differentiating between someone who’s 25 and needs a bit more performance, and someone who’s 65, and needs heavy optimizations to acetylcholine.
