Which Nootropics are Pre-workout worthy? Lots.

Nootropics aren’t just for sitting down and doing finance work (lol). They’re pretty epic for hosts of other applications. And especially, as pre-workouts.

The typical pre-workout has the usual suspects in it, right? Arginine, citrulline, L-Carnitine, Caffeine, Theobromine (sometimes), Creatine and whatever else. But what’s MISSING in most pre-workouts is the infusion of a focus agent into the mix, allowing better honing in on physique and lift goals, targeting PRs, and forward motion.

You see – I discovered years ago, that it was quantifiably easier for me to push that extra rep, or stay the extra 15 minutes to get the overload / training I needed to push my body to the next level, using certain nootropics.

Which Nootropics for pre-workouts?

Let’s take Noopept for example. I just launched a video on the Nootropics/Male performance youtube channel, in which I made it clear that Noopept helped significantly, over the years, in being able to focus better at the gym, and thus push the extra mile for progress.

I would dose 10MG Noopept, 50MG CDP Choline, and add a stimulant energy nootropic in the mix like Theobromine or Teacrine, and go crush it.

I always found that with that combination above, and others (as explained in the video), I just had this extra level of determination to push THAT much harder, and or hit a personal record. I focused a lot more on the GOAL of why I was at thy gym to begin with, broken down into smaller goals for each muscle set and element of my physique.

Nootropics helped remind me, literally while working out, that I was targeting more rounded shoulders, a pronounced chest, and a defined mid-section.

So that influenced how I worked out, and it made a difference. A huge one. But Noopept isn’t all there is.

Phenylpiracetam is a great pre-workout nootropic

I mean – this stuff gives you a kick like you won’t believe, sending you into the land of the unknown, energized and ready, focused and cognitively adept. As a mild dopamine reuptake inhibitor, as well as a cholinergic facilitator, Phenylpiracetam honestly just turns the lights on, and helps push for personal records and focus at the gym.

Interestingly, you can find the nootropic on the banned substances list in various doping agencies, for competitive sports, and that’s likely because it, through its work on acetylcholine firing and signaling, improves physical performance. I mean, it’s sort of unfair.

Cortex is another epic pre-workout nootropic stack. But it wasn’t built that way. Created as a nootropic stack for entrepreneurs and hard charging, productive people initially, it became pretty clear very early on in Cortex’s tenure, that it doubled as a pre-workout stack. Throw 2 capsules of Cortex down, and you’ll be buzzing and on your way. And again, having the nootropic effect in conjunction with the energy effect, adds a more honed in focus to your workouts, making them more pleasurable, AND more targeted.

Bromantane as a pre-workout nootropic

And lastly, we’ll quick chat about Bromantane as a pre-workout. Bromantane’s primary mechanism of action is the fostered expression of tyrosine hydroxylase, which aids in the direct synthesis of usable dopamine. But it also has “actoprotector” esque properties, meaning that in the presence of mental and physical stressors, Bromantane tones down the severity of your body’s (and brain’s) response to it. You’re literally more resilient taking Bromantane, than not, while working out (or doing productive work, for that matter).

I usually stick with a 50MG dose of it, throw Teacrine in the stack at 100-150MG, sometimes dose 50MG L-Theanine with it, and sometimes a racetam, like Aniracetam, low dosed at 300 or 400MG. Choline source is usually CDP Choline at 50-75MG, and I’m off.

But I’m not the only one. My clients for Nootropics Plus, a nootropics consulting program, also use nootropics as pre-workouts. And they WORK.

Better focus, more wherewithal, and a greater ability to dial your mind into the most important aspects of your workout, to better foster physique and personal record outcomes. Can’t go wrong there, and a lot of the fitness community is MISSING OUT on Nootropics being used as pre-workouts. I mean, imagine having that extra mental edge on top of the edge you probably already have to be so focused on improving your body?

It’s honestly next level stuff. And with the upcoming launch of our new nootropic stack TORQUE, the world will have yet another pre-workout Nootropic stack to take to bump up brain performance, and set up the perfect mental environment for gains.
